, which was interrupted by another groin injury that saw him ruled out of first-team action for all of September and October 2005 and a hamstring injury that ruled him out for several weeks in the spring of 2006. By this time, Jackson was the longest serving player at Derby and, in January 2006, signed a contract keeping him at the club until the summer of 2008. However, he made only seven further appearances for Derby in the 2006–07 season
and in August 2007, he moved to Luton Town
on a free transfer.
