He stopped presenting the show after colleagues made bullying allegations against him, according to the Western Mail. But other sources said the complaints were not about bullying. Neither the BBC nor Evans would comment about the nature of the allegations. The editor of Radio Wales at the time, Sali Collins, later left the BBC.

It is understood Evans had recently signed a new two-year contract.
