. The Foundation is dedicated to the care, compassion and life enrichment of individuals and families impacted by leukemia. The crux of its mission is to promote awareness about the disease and the simple ways healthy individuals can potentially save a life. Encouraging people to become blood donors and to register with the National Marrow Donor Program NMDP, the country's most comprehensive list of volunteer bone marrow and stem cell donors, the Hope Foundation calls their mission, "The Good Fight."

On September 8 2010, Cronin died after a long battle against leukemia.
