Ricardo Pires is also an accomplished BJJ competitor himself. He is a multiple-time Pan American champion, Brazilian National Champion, and Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC) trials runner-up. Pires now resides in Beachwood, Ohio with his wife and children where he runs the Ricardo Pires Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy.
