The RheinMain University of Applied Sciences was founded in 1971.

In September 2009 the University of Applied Sciences was renamed.

Since 1, September 2009 the University of Applied Sciences is called RheinMain University of Applied Sciences.

At the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences a wide variety of study programs is offered. These study programs are divided into the three following faculties:
  • Faculty of Applied Social Sciences
  • Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering
  • Faculty of Design – Computer Science – Media
  • Faculty of Engineering
  • Geisenheim Faculty of Viticulture, Oenology, Horticulture, Beverage Technology and Landscape Architecture
  • Wiesbaden Business School


The faculties of Social Sciences, Architecture and Civil Engineering, Design – Computer Science- Media, and the Wiesbaden Business School are located in Wiesbaden

More than 9.000 students study at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences: 5.200 in Wiesbaden, 2.600 in Rüsselsheim and 1.100 in Geisenheim (in summer 2009). They are enrolled in 46 different degree programs, including part-time and cooperative, distance learning and master's programs. The transition to bachelor's and master's programs is completed.

The RheinMain University of Applied Sciences has about 600 employees, 210 of them are professors.

The study location Wiesbaden consists of three campuses.
  • Kurt-Schumacher-Ring

At the Kurt-Schumacher-Ring campus the following faculties can be found:
- Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering,
- Faculty of Social Sciences
- information studies division of the Faculty of Design –Computer Science – Media.
  • Bleichstraße/Bertramstraße

The Bleichstraße/Bertramstraße campus can be found right in the center of Wiesbaden. The faculty of
- Wiesbaden Business School is situated there,as well as the Language Center and a specialized library, to name only a few of the institutions allocated at the Bleichstraße/Bertramstraße campus.
  • Unter den Eichen

The media-focus degree programs of the faculty of Design – Computer Science – Media are situated on this campus.
