 division. A professional MMA competitor since 2006, Duran has made a name for himself fighting in California. He is currently under contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC), holding a 1-1 for the promotion.

Mixed Martial Arts

Duran start training martial arts at 7. At 14 he began boxing, and at 19 he began training all aspects of MMA. He fought multiple times for King of the Cage

Duran fought Greg Guzman and fought with 2 torn ligaments in his right hand but still went on to win the fight. Later, in an interview, Duran voiced his confidence that were it not for the injury, he would have gotten the TKO. Duran then showed off his powerful hands defeating Ryan Diaz via KO with only 3 seconds left left in the fight.

He posted two consecutive submission wins and then signed with the UFC.

Ultimate Fighting Championships

Duran signed with the UFC in early 2011 and made his debut at UFC on Versus 3 against Takeya Mizugaki
