, a 511-bed hospital at 2316 East Meyer Boulevard. It was first known as Baptist Medical Center, then, Baptist-Lutheran Medical Center under Health Midwest. HCA Midwest closed Baptist-Lutheran in April 2006, but, opened it again and renamed it to the current name. The new name will identify the hospital as part of the Brookside neighborhood and Research Medical Center. In January 2006, HCA Midwest said that Baptist-Lutheran, a 354-bed hospital would continue to offer emergency care and other outpatient services, but, the inpatient care would be transferred to Research Medical Center.
