History

The United States Republican Party is the second oldest currently existing political party in the United States after its great rival, the Democratic Party.

Mission

The Republican Party of Arkansas is committed to helping elect Republicans across Arkansas.

The Republican Party will support Republican candidates who are passionate advocates for tax reform, fiscal sanity, less government, smart stewardship of the environment, life, the family, the 2nd amendment and individual liberty.

Republican allied groups

The Republican Party of Arkansas has five official allied groups. These member clubs serve as an integral part of Arkansas' Republican grassroots network.

Tusk Club

Since its formation in the early 1970s under former Governor Winthrop Rockefeller, the Tusk Club has been the Republican Party of Arkansas' base of financial support. This group of dedicated Republicans forms and inner circle within the Republican Party and is a voice of support for the Party and for the candidates who represent its vision and values.

Current elected officials

The Arkansas Republican Party controls three of the state's seven statewide offices. Republicans also hold one of the state's U.S. Senate seats and three of the state's four U.S. House seats.
