Renigunta is a suburban area of Tirupati, a major pilgrimage centre for Hindu

Some of the sites revealing the upper paleolithic culture in India are Renigunta in Andhra Pradesh along with Bhimbekta and Bagor in Madhya Pradesh. The Town has its genesis in Educating one of the oldest schools of Andhra... PM High School recently celebrated centenary schooling .. Some of its students were Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrisna (First Vice-President of Independent India), the first speaker of Lokha Sabha, Mr. Ananthasayanam Ayengar, Dr.N Janardhan Reddy (Ex-Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh)... First English Medium School was SVS Nagarani Convent established in 1975 by an Iron-lady called K.S.Sundari Alfred( 5th English Medium School in Chittoor District)..The students of this school were into Civil services, state civil services, Judges, Software entrepreneurs....Presently a hub of Telugu, English and Urdu media education.. Some of the Churches were constructed by Britishers and we can find British nationals grave-yard in the centre of the Town...

Renigunta has been recently included within the Tirupati Municipal Corporation limits.
