in Levelland

, and then Fresno State University, and was signed out of the NBA Development League

by the Golden State Warriors
to a 10-day contract in January 2007, playing once, against the Los Angeles Clippers
. In the summers of 2005 and 2006 he played with the USBL
's Dodge City Legend
, and in 2005-06 he had stints in the CBA
with the Sioux Falls Skyforce
and the Gary Steelheads
(with whom he also played in 2004-05).
Subsequently, Major returned to the D-League to play for the Dakota Wizards
. He spent a while recovering from a surgery to correct a loose valve in his heart that caused him to miss the entire 2007-2008 season. In his first game back, Major scored 19 points in 38 minutes of play.
In 2011, Major joined the Bakersfield Jam
of the NBA D-League.
