As their league finishes attest, the Foxes didn't amount to much in the competitive SJHL, but their ending of a crippling losing streak during the 1974-75 season was major front-page news locally, when the Foxes beat the Moose Jaw Canucks on home ice (their only win that season as it turned out). The Foxes' had difficulty attracting stellar talent to their roster due in part to the residence the team shared with the Major Junior Regina Pats (WCHL), their Tier Two affiliate and the Foxes' cross town rivals the Regina Pat Blues

History

On February 02, 1975 the team defeated the Moose Jaw Canucks in overtime to end Junior B hockey's longest losing streak of 58 consecutive loses. Ex-player Gary George remembers it like it was yesterday. "At the end of the second period we were tied and our faithful hundred fans were getting anxious. During the second intermission, a local radio station caught wind that the Foxes were tied going into the third. When we returned to the ice for the third, we could hardly make our way through the crowd.By the time we were going into over time I am sure this night was the fullest the Al Ritchie has ever been. We did not disappoint, we won in overtime."February 04,1975 front page news in the Regina Leader Post. Coach Dwayne Faggerhiem shacking hands with most famous goal scorer in Siver Fox history, Brent Lewis. Scoring that goal ended Jr. B Hockeys longest losing streak.
