The RED project was officially wound up in January 2005 and replaced with the Redfern-Waterloo Authority
Redfern-Waterloo Authority
The Redfern Waterloo Authority, formerly the Redfern-Eveleigh-Darlington Program, is an Australian Government of New South Wales authority, with responsibility for the "Urban Renewal of the Built Environment, Human Services and Employment and Enterprise in Redfern-Waterloo"....

. The Authority has a wider remit than the former RED project, including renewing local infrastructure and improving co-ordination of social and community services.
