Biography
Rebecca Schiffman was born in 1982 in New York City. She studied cello and piano from a young age. She later picked up guitar and in 9th grade joined classmate Colin Kindley to form The Meaningful and Wise whose sound was influenced by The Buzzcocks and The Soft Boys. The Meaningful and Wise performed Kindley's compositions, and Schiffman soon began writing her own songs and recording them on a 4-Track. In 2000, while attending The Cooper Union School of Art, Schiffman began to play bass guitar for the pop-punk band Pearl Harbor, which featured Walter SchreifelsWalter Schreifels
