 (through singer Alan Ward). Their debut album (1978) is now a collector’s item . Its CD re-mastered reissue has sold thousands of copies in Japan and hundreds in the USA. After a period of eclipse, Raxola enjoyed fame again following bootlegged compositions such as “Bloody Belgium” and “Bloodstains across Belgium” which was distributed worldwide in 1998.

Much appreciated for their rough pop punk songs and their somewhat socially and politically committed lyrics, Raxola has returned to the limelight, urged on by their fans. The only remaining original member, Yke N. Raxola (Yves Kengen) is now pushing ahead creating new material with Hadrien Frank, Dave Porzio and with a little help from Brian James, Fabrizio Manzini and other friends.

The close encounter between an old punk fox and two young wolves raised on grunge proved successful, as they stepped into the UK with Chromium Records’ “Unsung Heroes” compilation (they won the audience poll), and become fully involved in the collective “Punk Against Blair” project launched in May 2005 in London.

The new album, provisionally entitled “Come Back Shoes” will be released in 2007.
