specialising in performing arts. It is known as the first best achieving school in eastbourne. There is an average of 12 students age 11–16 years ranging from different race and abilities. The school is over 5 years old and once before then was a farm using 'Ratton' in the name. The Head teacher is David Linsell and the deputy head is Mr Anne Wardle.

Ratton school includes five communities: Globe, Lyceum, Adelphi!, Lyric and Apollo, these communities raise money for different charities and participate in sport related competitions. The names of the communities were named after famous theatres.

As a one off; Ratton school got the chance to be on TV on BBC drama called DIVE, the name of the show had actors of students and a few teachers too. Mrs Bryden, Mr Adams and Mr Stocker, two of the drama teachers and an R.E Ethics teacher, were some of the actors in DIVE. Some parts were filmed at the local swimming pool.
