Career

Ranjith, had an impressive debut in Sindhu Nadhi Poo and gave a few hits thereafter. Introduced by R K Selvamani in Tamil, Ranjith had acted in several movies before making a foray to Malayalam. After having acted in 40 Tamil films, he was overjoyed when actor Mohanlal rang him up for a meaty assignment in Naatu Raja, his debut film in Malayalam. Then it was followed by Chandrosavam, again with Loganathan IAS, opposite Kalabhavan Mani. Though he acted as a villain, these films got him good name in the Malayalam film industry. In Raajamanickyam, starring Mammooty, he donned an inventive character Simon Nadar, which received overwhelming kudos from cine-buffs in Kerala. Ranjith, is better known for his villain roles, turned hero with his home production, Bhishmar. He made a comeback to Kollywood in Pasupathi c/o Rasakkapalayam after a brief hiatus and the film was an instant success. Ranjith married actress Priya Raman when they paired for the Tamil film Nesam Pudhsu.
