. Rancho Cucamonga High School opened in August 1992 with an enrollment of approximately 1,500 ninth to eleventh grade students. Today Rancho has an enrollment of approximately 3,200 students in the ninth through twelfth grades.

Athletics

Rancho Cucamonga High School competes in the Baseline League, including Glendora (added in 2010 and replaced Claremont), Alta Loma, Etiwanda, Upland, and Los Osos.
The cross country team has made 4 state meet appearances in the last 6 years and finished 2nd at the C.I.F. Southern Section Division 1 Cross Country Championships in 2008. The Cougar track program has multiple state qualifiers every year for the last four years.
