History

FM 1826 was designated in Travis County in 1951, starting at US 290 and running to the Hays County line. The route was extended into Hays County, to near Driftwood, in 1954; the same year also saw the designation changed from an FM to an RM. FM 966 would be canceled and combined with RM 150 in 1955.
