Rampart High School

Rampart High School is located in Academy School District 20
of Colorado Springs, Colorado
. Rampart opened as only the second high school in the district in 1983, and was awarded the National School of Excellence award in 1989. It is one of only 2 high schools in Colorado Springs with the International Baccalaureate Programme
. Its mascot is the Ram.
Rampart's band, the Rampart Regiment, has won 1st place in state competitions two consecutive times in the 2005 - 2006 and 2006 - 2007 school years with the shows "Hypar Effect" and "Autumn@tic". The band did not win state in 2007.
For the 2007-2008 school year, the band was moved up in class, from class 4A to class 5A. This was due to increase in the school's number of students, in accordance with CSHAA school size regulations. This affects which schools the band competes with in statewide CBA competition.
In 2010, the marching band recently performed in London for the New Years Day parade.
Rampart High School also has an outstanding winter guard. They have won the RMCGA state championship 4 times. They have competed in the Scholastic A and Scholastic Open Division.

was a part of all 5 Ram scores with 2 catches for touchdowns, a pass for a touchdown and 2 special teams scores. He also picked off a pass in the last 3 minutes of the game to seal the win for the Rams.

Band
Rampart High School is well known for its music program. Not only does the school have a multi-time state championship marching band, it also is home to concert band and orchestra programs. The school has, as of the 2007-2008 school year, three concert bands of differing levels, two jazz bands, and a string orchestra. It also offers a guitar class. The concert bands started attending the CBA state championships for concert band in 2007.
