Some of his famous works are Shatranj Ke Mohre which inaugurated in 1971 and runs successfully even today, Tanhai, Apan Toh Bhai Aise Hain, Kashmakash, Hum Deewane Hum Parwane, Aalll izz well with Shuturmurg,etc. In 1972, Talwar formulated and organised IPTA's first ICDC (Intercollegiate Drama Competition) which is a stage for young students to showcase their talent in front of dignitaries of the industry. IPTA's ICDC completes it's 40th year in 2011.
