Her grandson, Mrigendra Kumar Singh, is the President of Sheohar Parliamentary Constituency Youth Congress Committee.

She was a true Congresswoman who started her political career from the Indian National Congress during the freedom struggle and never switched her party. She was the elected Vice Chairperson of the International Labour Organisation.
