The track features eight 48-inch lanes, with European-style broad turns (118 meters) and short straightaways (82 meters). The field event facilities include two high jump aprons (both inside the oval), six pole vault runways (two inside the oval, four outside), four long jump / triple jump pits (all inside the oval), five shot put rings (three inside the oval, five discus rings (three inside the oval, two outside), two hammer throw rings (both outside the oval), and two javelin throw runways (both outside the oval).
The record single-day attendance for a track & field competition is 11,072 on July 10, 1994 at the U.S. Olympic Festival.
