The street connects the Reed Avenue with Thurstan Road and is the Northern border of Royal College Colombo. Running parallel to an east-west line its northern parameter is lined with many old mansions. On the northern side at the western end situated is the Orient Club and the eastern end is the Obeyesekere Walawa

Located at both ends of the street are two statures, at the juncture of Rajakeeya Mawatha, Thurstan road and Flower road is the stature of Hon. Lalith Athulathmudali
an eminent Sri Lankan statesmen and old royalist erected by the Government of Sri Lanka following his assassination. On the other end is the stature of Sir Solomon Dias Bandaranike colonial era Maha Mudaliyar
and old thomian, erected by the Colombo Turf Club facing the dilapidated old race course.
