 in many ways, though non-fictional in subject matter, while others consist principally of more straightforward, journalistic-type reporting – but at much greater length than found in an ordinary news report.
There has been tremendous interest in the field of Radio Documentaries particularly in third world countries like India, Iran, South Korea and Malysia etc.

Particularly in Indian context this format has been revived due to its flexibility, cost cutting capacity, messaging potential and creative satisfaction.
