Radbrook Green is the name of a small suburb of Shrewsbury

, situated to the south-west of the town, approximately 1.5 miles from the town centre. Construction of the estate started in the late 1970s, with most of the estate completed by the early 1990s. It is a private housing estate, predominantly seen as a middle class

The suburb's name is often shortened to "Radbrook", and the northern part of the estate is often referred to as 'Collegefields' (as houses in this area were built on fields of the nearby Shrewsbury College)

Amenities

The suburb boasts a small shopping and services centre which is situated in the heart of the suburb that includes a Co-operative supermarket, a number of medical and health-related services, as well as vendors of food and gifts. There is also a post office

In addition, the suburb has other amenities, including a pub. There is also the Radbrook Community Centre which is home to the local church (Christ The King, Radbrook). The community centre was opened in 2005 after over 10 years of fundraising and campaigning for its construction. There is also a large pond and nature trail, which is popular with local anglers. The nearby Mousecroft Community Woodland boasts two larger ponds (again used by anglers) as well as woodland walks and is an easy stroll from Radbrook centre.

The local hotel, the Radbrook Hall Hotel, closed down in 2006 to be developed for housing and has since been demolished as a part of this programme of development.

Café Connect is a not-for-profit, café/coffee shop run by volunteers in Radbrook Green. It was set up by Christ The King Church which is based in the nearby Radbrook Community Centre, although it pre-dates the community centre. Café Connect is now a bustling café which provides a place for residents of Radbrook Green to meet up over light refreshments.

Education

Primary education in the suburb is largely handled by Radbrook Primary School, which opened in 1987. The Priory and Meole Brace secondary school

s are also situated nearby, and Radbrook Technical College (part of Shrewsbury College) is also nearby.
