In 1999, MacDonald Dettwiler
completed a buy out of the other RSI shareholders. Today, RSI is a wholly owned subsidiary of MDA, under the name of MDA Geospatial Services Inc. (MDA GSI).
MDA GSI Hold the operating license for RADARSAT-2 satellite, an MDA Satellite built in partnership with the Canadian Government.
