) is the first son of Kardam, Prince of Turnovo

 and a grandson of Simeon II of Bulgaria, former Tsar of Bulgaria. He is thus second in line to the titular throne of Bulgaria.

Prince Boris is next for the position of the heir of the deposed king Simeon, who is over seventy. Should Kardam die, Boris will become the heir of the Bulgarian royal house. If he become a Tsar, he would be Boris IV of Bulgaria.
