History

She was with a length of 147 meters (482'3") at delivery the longest and tallest motor yacht in the world and retained this status for 22 years, so that she is regarded today as the largest luxury yacht of the 20th century. She was designed by Maierform and built in 1984 by Helsingør Værft in Denmark. The first owner was the King of Saudi Arabia Fahd of Saudi Arabia

The 147 meter long ship has a beam of 18.3 meters and a draught of
4,9 meters. She is propelled by two 5816 kW Pielstick diesel generator sets. Cruising speed is set at 18 knots, but it can raised to 22 knots. At full capacity, the yacht requires a 60-65 man crew. The interior designer was David Nightingale Hicks
