History

The club was founded in 1908, with the name of Croatian Sports Club Viktoria, and is the oldest swimming club in Croatia. Under that name, the club was active until the end of World War II. The club was reformed with the name Primorac in 1948. The club eventually added water polo to its team sports activities.

Although it has never won a championship, it is a rival to other clubs. Also, many players from Primorje have played on national teams. The club's best season was in 2009-10, when it played in the quarterfinal of the LEN cup, and placed third in the Croatian championship.
