There were 241 households out of which 15.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 69.3% were married couples
living together, 2.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.6% were non-families. 20.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.13 and the average family size was 2.42.
In the town the population was spread out with 13.8% under the age of 18, 1.9% from 18 to 24, 16.8% from 25 to 44, 36.5% from 45 to 64, and 31.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 56 years. For every 100 females there were 101.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 103.7 males.

History
The town of Presque Isle was originally called Winegar, and was created in 1907. The town changed its name to Presque Isle in 1955, named after the large number of lakes and rivers in the area.Government
