The Presbyterian Hospital is a 554-bed hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is a private, non-profit regional medical center and the flagship hospital of Presbyterian Healthcare. Presbyterian Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and received Magnet designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) which recognizes facilities that provide the highest level of nursing care.

Awards/Patient Satisfaction

Presbyterian Hospital has been named one of the 50 “Best Hospitals” in America by Becker's Review. Based on national hospital rankings for quality patient care, Presbyterian Hospital joins the 50 best list along with nationally renowned medical centers such as Johns Hopkins, Cleveland Clinic and Mayo Clinic. Presbyterian Hospital is the only hospital in the Charlotte region on the “best hospitals” list for 2011.

Presbyterian Hospital recently received the 2011 President’s Award along with 55 other awards from Professional Research Consultants (PRC), a national healthcare marketing organization that conducts satisfaction surveys for the hospital.

In 2010, Presbyterian Hospital received a three-star rating for cardiac surgical care from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.

In 2009 The American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (ACS NSQIP) has recognized Presbyterian Hospital as one of 26 ACS NSQIP participating hospitals in the United States that have achieved exemplary outcomes for surgical patient care.
