Port Moody Secondary School, is a public coeducational high school
located in Port Moody, British Columbia
. The school is notable for offering the International Baccalaureate Program and the Career Preparation Program to its students, which many students travel from other neighbourhoods and school districts to participate in. The school serves grades nine through twelve and currently has an enrollment of about 1,312 students. Enrollment at the school has dropped in recent years, due in part to the changing demographics of the neighbourhood it is located in.

The original Port Moody High School, which was located on the grounds of the current Moody Middle School
, burned to the ground in 1969. A new site was chosen for the new Port Moody Senior Secondary School which opened in 1973. A mythological bird which rose from the ashes, "The Phoenix
", was appropriately chosen as the new school's mascot. The team name selected was the Port Moody Blues. Built to accommodate nine hundred students, Port Moody Secondary has grown to a population of well over thirteen hundred students and a staff of about one hundred.
Moody has a cheerleading team that has achieved an average standard of excellence in competition in both Canada and the United States. Port Moody's senior cheer team is a runner-up national champion. It has well established teams for badminton

. The Girls Rugby team at Moody has also achieved an average standard of excellence. They in 2007 won 6th place in the province, and in 2008 won 4th. They went to England in 2007 with the Sr and Jr Boys teams and lost most of their games. Both teams went to Australia in 2009. The Senior Boys Soccer Team won the provincial championship in 2007.
Port Moody Secondary School also contains the School districts first ever community Garden, run by Affero Vita Sustainable Future Society, a Registered Canadian Organization founded by four Alumni of PMSS, Ricky Wu, Aarman Rahim, Daniel Kwon and Brian Ferrey. The 1500 square feet (139.4 m²) garden was constructed by these students and every year, the four return to plant and harvest hundreds of pounds of vegetables for a local soup kitchen to feed the homeless population.
The school is home to around 30 extracurricular clubs. The Student Council is led by a student executive with an advisor, hosting events to benefit the school in many ways. Larger groups include Mission Green, which is a group of students who lead and participate in numerous environmental restoration projects around the city, Teens Transforming the Community, who works to uplift and raise funds for various grassroots and local causes, as well as the Amnesty International club. Other smaller extracurricular groups include Pre Entrepreneurship Network, The 3rd World Awareness Group, and The Phoenix Newspaper. The school also has an excellent Improv Team which takes yearly involvement in the Canadian Improv Games

Extracurricular activities
Port Moody has an arts program that runs the community jazz and concert bands. The school's concert band, jazz bands, vocal jazz and concert choir ensembles have competed at provincial or national levels, and the school has a multi-station MIDI lab and recording studio for the music technology courses offered.
