Point Leamington is a small community of about 650 people located north of Botwood
and Grand Falls-Windsor. The town is located on the shores of Southwest Arm, New Bay. Many residents commute daily to Botwood, Bishop's Falls, and Grand Falls-Windsor for full time work. Others work seasonally in Alberta. The town is serviced by only a few businesses. Groceries can be purchased at Andrew's Supermarket, Paul's Convenience, or MNM One Stop. The town has the last gas stations on Route 350: Western Petroleum (MNM One Stop) and Will's Gas and Repairs. Children from the community attend Point Leamington Academy, which teaches k-12 students from Point Leamington, Pleasantview, Leading Tickles, and Glover's Harbour. Church denominations in the town include the Salvation Army, Pentecostal, and the United Church.
It is home to the "Superior Glove" plant, which employes many residents.
There are a few swimming holes in town, including Mill River and Otter Pond.
