It grows in light shade or full shade and has clumping caulescent rosettes, up to 3 inches (7.6 cm) in diameter, leaves 0.8 inch long, 0.8 in (2 cm) wide and 0.2 in (0.508 cm) thick. It grows during the winter and reproduces via seeds.
