. There is also a 48000 square feet (4,459.3 m²) AMC Theatre on the property, featuring 12 screens and stadium seating. The mall is owned and managed by PREIT (the Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust).

A redevelopent of over $100 million in 2008-2009 has added new restaurants that were successfully introduced in 2008, and a new open-air "Lifestyle" wing featuring LOFT, Coldwater Creek, Jos. A. Banks, Chico's and Olly Shoes was opened in late 2009 and early 2010. A 65,000 s.f. Whole Foods upscale grocery market was included in the redevelopment and anchors the "Outdoor Lifestyle Wing" of the property, which now includes an underground parking area.

Previously, this location gained fame in the early 1980s, while owned by the Rouse Organization as Swedish Furniture company IKEA

The Plymouth Meeting was one of the very first malls in North America which, among its mixture of various stores offered a church within the mall which exists to this day.
