The sports teams have one recognized WIAA state championship, the 1997 Division 3 (smallest schools) spring baseball championship. Three other times, Blue Devil teams have made it to the final phase of the State Tournament: The 1985 Division 3 baseball team (losing in the finals to Rib Lake) , as well as the 1994 and 1995 boys' basketball teams (defeated in the semifinals both times. Both the 2010 Blue Devil football team and the 2010-11 Blue Devil boys' basketball team came within one game of reaching the final phase.
Plum City is a member of the South Lakeland conference for football and the Dunn St.-Croix conference for all other sports.

There were 216 households out of which 33.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.0% were married couples
living together, 8.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.5% were non-families. 26.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.44 and the average family size was 2.99.
In the village the population was spread out with 25.8% under the age of 18, 6.6% from 18 to 24, 24.2% from 25 to 44, 17.8% from 45 to 64, and 25.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 41 years. For every 100 females there were 90.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 82.1 males.
The median income for a household in the village was $38,438, and the median income for a family was $46,607. Males had a median income of $31,786 versus $23,409 for females. The per capita income
