Encyclopedia
Plainfield High School is located in Central Village, Connecticut. Its mascot is Pesty the Panther, making them the Plainfield Panthers. Their school colors are black and orange.

The current Plainfield High School building was finished in 2005, at a total cost of $88.3 million dollars. A small building from the old school was retained, out of respect for its historic importance. This little building is nicknamed "The Annex."

Plainfield High School has many student clubs and sports. These include: Student Council, Debate Club, Diversity Club, Good News Club, Astronomy Club, Ping-pong Club, National Honor Society, Lacrosse Club, Intramural athletics, JV and Varsity Football, Basketball, Baseball, Soccer, Softball, Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track, GSA, Wrestling, Ski and Snowboard Club, and Fitness Club.
