. His former stage name "Pikku G" refers to his small size (= "pikku") and to "Genetic", his old breakdance name.

Music career and fame

Vähäkainu made his breakthrough on radio station YLEX's competition at the age of 15. His debut album Räjähdysvaara was released in 2003. It was the first Finnish hip hop album to sell platinum and it was Finland's most sold record that year. The following year he released another album called Suora Lähetys, but even though it also reached platinum numbers, it sold about one third of his first album's sales.

He published a self-titled book in 2004, and was elected "Finland's most positive celebrity" in the same year.

Criminal record

In September 2009, Vähäkainu was convicted of aggravated driving under the influence. He received a suspended sentence of 45 days and was day-fine

Vähäkainu was investigated due to his alleged involvement of arranging a meeting between a cocaine dealer and potential customers in October 2009, while still on probation. A text message sent by him to the dealer was presented as an evidence in court. He denied any such involvement.

On March 30, 2010 Vähäkainu was convicted of distributing ten grams of cocaine and sentenced to pay 80 day-fines.
