Pierluigi Oliverio is the District 6 representative on the San Jose City Council
. He was sworn in on March 20, 2007.
District 6 includes Willow Glen, Rose Garden, Cory, Sherman Oaks, Canoas Gardens, College Park, Shasta Hanchett, Palm Haven, Buena Vista and other neighborhoods. Pierluigi grew up in District 6 attending local public schools in Willow Glen and RoseGarden and obtained his Teaching Credential from San Jose State University. Prior to being elected to the San Jose City Council he spent 15 years in the semiconductor and software industry. District 6 is home to such dynamic and active areas as the Lincoln Ave business district in Willow Glen,The Alameda business district, West San Carlos business district, Municipal Rose Garden Park, Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum, The Billy DeFrank Center, Santana Row, Valley Fair Shopping Center and the Capitol Auto Mall.
