Phil McCordic

Phil McCordic grew up in Toronto's North York, and attended the University of Windsor, where he completed an Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts degree majoring in acting. After graduating, he formed the "Surviving Shakespeare" theatre company with two friends, taking their interactive, educational show into high schools to turn kids onto the Bard.

McCordic is a graduate of the University of Windsor's Acting program, class of '96. He has spent many years as a host mainly on Kids TV. McCordic started off at YTV, where he hosted the morning block, the B-zone. Then was a correspondent on YTV News. McCordic then found quite a bit of success on TVO Kids where he was a host of the popular after-school block "The Crawlspace" for over 4 years.

During that time he started to branch out into writing and producing television. McCordic has been part of numerous theatre productions usually comedy and often improv. McCordic is currently the Senior Producer of… More the Kids CBC block, where he has taken the new brand of the show and led the team to much critical success. He has twice won Gemini awards for shows he's been instrumental in producing and has taken home 6 nominations as well as garnering several other awards for the CBC
