Description

Peucedanum cervaria reaches on average 40–120 cm (15.7–47.2 ) in height, with a maximum of 150 centimetres (59.1 in). The stems are cylindrical, glabrous and erect. They are more or less branched and the leaves are slightly blue-green and two to three times pinnatifid

Peucedanum cervaria grows singly or in loose groups on light-rich, chalky, dry places, occasionally in semi-arid grassland, at an altitude of 0–1200 m (0–3,937 ) above sea level.
