. He started his career at age 7 at the local team IL Flint

. His performances in his teens earned him 9 caps at the Norwegian junior national football team.

After turning 18, Furuseth Olsen transferred to "Tønsberg's pride", EIK Tønsberg in the 3rd highest level in Norway. His talents were not spotted until the year 2000, when SK Brann made him an offer. In 2001, he got his debut in the Norwegian Premier League

 were he was quite popular, scoring 10 goals in 26 matches. Again, he had some trouble fitting into the team he was a part of.

, and it did not take long until he caught the eye of Hammarby IF. In September 2004, a Örebro in heavy debts was forced to sell him to league rivals Hammarby IF. His frequent club changes has made him unpopular among football fans.

, Furuseth Olsen was transformed from striker to right winger. In October 2006, Furuseth Olsen made it clear that he were to leave Hammarby and Sweden, to return home to Norway, the reason being that he wanted to gain a spot on the Norwegian national football team. However, due to being highly unpopular among his team-members, Olsen decided to quit football in Norway, and moved again across the borders. He now has a reputation as being somewhat difficult to cooperate with, although his football-skills are considered rather good.
