Peter de Smet

Peter de Smet was a Dutch comic-strip artist.

He was the author of De Generaal (The General). From the 1960s onwards he worked as an artist in advertising. An early version of De Generaal was sold to Tintin magazine but never published. Pep magazine picked up the strip in 1971, and published it through several incarnations of the magazine.
