and ill-treated Peter. Peter lamented the spiritual blindness of his mother and sisters but treated them respectfully.
He thought that he will never be able to escape the search of ministers of justice, so he went to the tribunal and gave himself up. He was heavily tortured in amazing tranquility and firmness. In prison he encouraged the disheartened, and exhorted apostates to repentance. He was martyred by being strangled in prison at the age of 13.
