Peter Ian Philpott was a leg-spin bowler
and middle order batsman for New South Wales
and Australia in the 1960s. He made his debut in the West Indies in 1964-65 and took 18 wickets (34.94). Back home against England in the 1965-66 Ashes series he took 5/90 in the first innings of the First Test at Brisbane, forcing England to follow on, but took only 8 wickets (46.37) in the series and was dropped.
