It was held from Saturday 9th - Monday 11 December. He was the only British person to make it to the final table and finished in second place winning €79,940 (£50,288). It was won by Frechman Jérome Zerbib who won just over €140,000 (approx. £90,000). He was the only non-French person who finished in the top ten.
Along with poker, he once was a well-respected snooker player.
As of 2008, his total live tournament winnings exceed $300,000.
