The another major temple is Sree Vanadurga Devi Temple. It is situated near Perumpazhuthoor Jn. Major event of the temple is Avittam Festival (Avittamahotsavam) which held on January/February every year.

Perumpazhuthoor boasts of a High School (since grown to a Junior College) which has brought scholars right from the British Raj era. A Polytechnic Institute has come up here recently.
