, all of it is now commonly referred to as 'Penn Branch', taking its name from its location at the intersection of two major thoroughfares, Pennsylvania and Branch Avenues. At the neighborhood's Pennsylvania Avenue gateway, a sign reads, "Penn Branch - A Community On The Move".

Also at that intersection is a shopping center by the name of Penn Branch Center, scheduled to undergo major renovations in the Fall of 2009.
