Early years

Sosa did not give up a sack in two years as a starter and was named first-team All-State and All-Hudson County by the Star-Ledger.

College career

Sosa decided to spurn numerous traditional college football powers to stay home and attend Rutgers. Stepping into the starting lineup as a sophomore, Sosa made an immediate impact for Rutgers at his left tackle position, paving the way with Jeremy Zuttah
