Peavey 5150 Amplifier

The Peavey 5150 is an all-tube guitar amplifier made by Peavey Electronics
from 1991–present as a signature model for Edward Van Halen. Since Van Halen and Peavey parted ways in 2004, the name of the model was changed to 6505, with Van Halen taking the 5150 name for his company, EVH, to name his 5150 III amplifier.

Models of the 5150
- 5150 - The original version of the 5150 features a rhythm and a lead channel. The amp features 5 pre-amp tubes and 4 power-amp tubes. The amp features a three band equalizer, as well a resonance and presence control. Mk I 5150 amps have 2 inputs - a Low Gain and a High Gain. The original 5150 was released with a block-letter logo. Due to a potential trademark dispute, it was changed to a script logo. Contrary to popular belief, block logo and script logo 5150s have identical circuitry.

- 5150 II - This version features an additional preamp tube, and each channel has dedicated controls. In contrast to the original model's fixed bias, the 5150II feature an adjustable bias as well as bias test points on the back panel. Unlike the original 5150 the Mk II has only one input. The name of this amp was changed in 2004 to 6505+.

- 5150 212 "Combo" - A 60 watt 2 x 12" combo. This version has features similar to the original 5150 with the exception of having an added knob to adjust the built in reverb and only 2 power tubes.
